OHSU Type 1 support group

The Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Health Center offers support groups for adults (18+) living with Type 1 diabetes. These groups provide an opportunity for participants to connect with others living with diabetes and share challenges, successes, and coping strategies. The groups meet monthly for one hour. Groups are free and open to all who are living with diabetes. You do not need to be an OHSU patient to attend these groups.

Type 1 support group:

  • 1st Tuesday of the month from 6:00-7:00pm

How to get there:

OHSU's Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Health Center is located in the Physicians Pavilion building on Marquam Hill Campus.

Public transportation

Taking the bus: TriMet No. 8 bus to Jackson Park coming from downtown Portland goes to OHSU's Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Health Center located in Physicians Pavilion on Marquam Hill Campus. Take the No. 8 bus labeled "To Jackson Park/Veteran's Hospital" heading south from downtown.

Taking the tram: There are several other options including the the Tram from the South Waterfront neighborhood. Please see the public transportation link above to map the best route given your departing location

Parking:

Visitors park free in patient parking and can use complimentary valet where available. Free patient parking is available in the parking garage directly below the Physicians Pavilion.
